There’s nothing better to create a nostalgic feeling than a Polaroid at the fair!

First test with this antique lens - picked it up a couple years ago in an antique store for a few dollars - has a decent classic soft focus effect. This lens seems to cover 4×5 with room for plenty of movements.

Available light from window - 3 sec. exposure - lens cap as shutter

I picked up a new view camera - a Toyo View D 45M - needs some slight TLC but it was pretty cheap and very usable and pretty nice looking as well - here’s my initial test shot. This was a flower I grabbed out of my back yard.

This was my 1st shoot with a stylist. it was a lot of fun and a lot easier to get a good look. It was awesome having a second pair of experienced eyes looking out for misplaced clothing, hair, etc…

I think this is my favorite of the shots so far. Still waiting on the color 4×5 shots.

Caroline was fabulous to work with. She put up with a the high temperature, high humidity, and nature - I stuck her in water, I had her walk and sit in flower patches that were full of bugs and bumble bees…

I have more to scan and a lot of color film to get processed from this shoot.

Jessica and I got up early today, went out, got coffee and bagels and went for a walk. I pretty much always have my Polaroid on me these days and I snapped this in the park.

Tamara was awesome to work with! I used front tilt to create a selective focus for a vintage feel and front rise/ rear tilt to correct distortion from the wide angle lens.

I picked up a Polaroid 405 Pack Film Back for my 4×5 camera today - been enjoying shooting the Polaroids so much I thought I’d try it in my main large format camera.

I used front swing to get the selective focus in the center. I shot a sheet of Delta 100 as well - I won’t process that shot until I have more after this weekend.

Hayden Falls is located within the metro area of Columbus, Ohio, right off the Scioto River and Hayden Run Road which is a pretty busy road.

Due to the heavy rain we have been getting it was much larger than normal. The creek bed was more like a river bed and I had to wade through parts of it to get to the falls and get a good perspective.
